I got in the middle of a dental scam between Care Credit and A+ Gentle Dental. I have spent the last 2 months being harrassed by this company for a loan in which procedures were never rendered. They called me at least 10 times a day on my cell and at my place of work. It has been a nightmare. A+ Gentle Dental sold to Caring Dental of Oceanside and they were the ones to stop the calls and clear up the fraudulent billing. Stay awy from Care Credit!

Is Care Credit the source of the problem, or the dentist?

Katherine, I am very sorry for your bad experiences with Care Credit. This is not the first report I've seen where CC has been implicated with DENTISTS and less than favorable billing procedures. That is worrisome, and I surely will keep following these reports to try and make sure I don't get scammed myself.

But Care Credit has been wonderful for me. I used it for my cats vet visits, and they really needed the exams, both were sick, and without Care Credit, I couldn't have gotten them the care they needed.

It took me a ridiculously long time to pay off my bill with CC which was for under $150, but CC never once gave me any problems with missed payments here and there, or took any of the actions they legally could have that wouldn't have given me any more money to pay them, but would've upset me so much to endure, being that I was not living up to my terms of service and that alone was causing plenty of mental anguish.

I know that they offer their services at many types of medical businesses, but the ones that stick in my memory as having this type of complaint about them HAS been with dentists.

Being that they offer credit for medical services, if the problem isn't stemming from Care Credit but shady providers, I would hate to see anyone pass them up as an option when they might really be able to use what they offer.
