I applied with CareCredit only under the assumption that there was 18 months no interest and then 21.98% thereafter for a medical procedure. We paid off $2,200 out of the original $3,800 balance. Then this month we get a statement saying that our 18 month were up and all the interest from the 18 months was only deferred and not actually 18 month no interest. So we got charged $984.98 plus the 21.98% annual charge which brought our total due from $1,656 to $2,591. They said: oh, by the way, so you know, CareCredit doesn't offer interest free, we offer only deferred interest and if you dont pay it off within the stated time you will be billed for all the interest.

I feel ripped off because I would have never signed on had I was told that they didn't really offer no interest. I will never use CareCredit again and for anyone that is considering, DONT GET IT!!!!!!!!!

I HAVE HAD A CARE CREDIT ACCOUNT SINCE 2003 WHEN I NEEDED A DENTAL PROCEDURE. THE DENTIST EXPLAINED TO ME THAT IT WAS DEFERRED INTEREST AS LONG AS I PAID IT OFF WITHIN 12 MONTHS WHICH I DID. WHEN YOU APPLY IT IS THROUGH THE OFFICE DOING THE MEDICAL SERVICE. THEY OBVIOUSLY EXPLAINED IT INCORRECTLY TO YOU NOT THE CARD COMPANY.

Read the Terms and Conditions Carefully

The Terms and Conditions, which you agree to when you apply, state:

"If your No Interest Payment Plan is paid in full by the required due date, you will have paid no interest on your No Interest Promotional Purchase. However, if you do not pay the full promotional balance by the required due date, interest that has accrued from the date of purchase will be added to your Account. "

In the future, be sure to always read the terms and conditions (and ask for clarification, if you do not understand any part) before signing anything. Their interest rates are high and I certainly understand why you are upset, but all of the information was available to you.
