I used care credit for some extensive dental work-charged $2650. I used them before with no problem. They charged my dentist 5% so I even agreed to pay that. This was about March 04. I did recieve a bill in April.

In May I recieved no bill. I call customer service of course they told me it was sent May 4th, must have gotten lost in the mail. So I made a payment of $500.00 which the charged me $10.00 to do this was added to my account.

This is June and again I have not recieved a bill. Again I called CUSTOMER SERVICE. Again they said it was the postal service. Once maybe two months in a row. I DONT THINK SO. This is a 12 no interest card but you have to pay the minimum or it goes to what ever rate they want plus late fees. If they don't get a bill most people forget about it until it is too late. I know my account is due by the 3rd of the next month so I have made arrangements to have this bill payed through e-payment from my bank. This shouldn't have to be done. I sent the bill-quite using the postal service as an excuse

Credit Card Due Dates... same problem with my AOL Visa

#2Consumer Suggestion

Tue, June 22, 2004

I recently had the same problem with my AOL Visa (CardMember Services)as you described. I try to reconcile my statements each month, but got behind a couple of months. I had been making minimum payments weekly instead of monthly therefore I was not late and there were no late charges or fees.

When I discovered I had had not received two statements, I contacted Cardmember Services by telephone and advised them that I would these two statements. I then sent a certified letter to them advising them that I required monthly statements. There is inexpensive accounting software you can purchase for home use that automatically shows the due date for each bill you have.

It's a good way to track if the credit card company tries to change the due date. You an also track billing address and telephone number changes.
