If you have had problems with GE Money Bank, (GEMB), Care Credit or any other affliate of GE Money Bank, please contact your state Attorney General's Office immediately.  Most states allow you to file a complaint online; it typically takes about 20 minutes if you have all your information ready. I have spoken with several private attorneys who specialize in Class Action lawsuits. GEMB is on many a state's 'watch-list.'  When enough complaints have been filed, your Attorney General will take action; it is to the consumer's advantage for the A.G. to file a Class Action suit vs. a private attorney doing so. Therefore, it is up to us to bring GEMB into account for their unethical practices. I encourage all to make their complaint where it will count the most. Google "Attorney General's Office in (your state)." Please, FILE TODAY!!!!  Pass this on to every consumer complaint site that you can. Let's make it happen.

PS: I filed with my A.G and within 2 weeks, GEMB had reversed all the fees, never admitting fault or error.  No matter:  I paid the account in full that day.  Done and never again to do business with GE Money Bank.

GE money bank pulled one on me also.  They reportedly sent me notice that they were changing my terms due to my making 2 late payments.  One was one day late and the other was 10 days due to an oversight.  They claim this notice was sent in my October statement. I opted to receive my statements electronically.  The company does not send email notifications when a new statement is available so it is hard to keep track. I did not read this statement as an oversight, as I made a double payment earlier and skipped that month's payment. I no longer have access to that statement and am waiting for them to send my a copy.  Subsequent statements showed no change in status which is misleading.  My status as having a promotional period until 3/1010 remained the same for Nov and Dec.  I did not find out about this change until it already occurred and was reported in my January statement.  They charged me $650 in interest.  I could not get anywhere with customer service. They told me they notified me and it is too late.  Any other credit card I have owned always sends notification of a change as a separate document with special email alerts and/or via hard copy sent through the USPS.  I believe that GE money does not do this purposefully to trick their customers.  I will be reporting them tomorrow.  Thank you for this information.

Solution I found

I had a run in with another arm of GE which was for Extended Warrenty and repair. I filed a complaint with the Local AG and the AG in the state they were opporating in. I used the Ripoff report as an example of the types of complaints for the AG. When I did this my issue was quickley resolved. The AG can close them down or charge them with fraud which has a similar solution of what happened to Madoff. Perhaps if more took a similar root we can close these scoundrels down.

I posted on another thread, but CC/GEMB gave me a completely different set of terms than I agreed to through the medical provider I went through for the account. If they would simply let me talk to someone I would hope to resolve it, but they say write letter and then completely rejected my claim saying I didn't read their terms...I never agreed to a differed interest loan in the first place!

As far as I'm concerned they bait and switched me and committed a fraud.
