I enrolled at first in may 2009, but could not begin as i was searching for work.  I finally got started sept 2009.  its all a dog and pony show to get students signed up for an expensive lesson and opens the door for CEC to get millions in student loans and other "earned" tuition charges for those that are forced to withdraw because they cannot find viable work in that field of study.

The show begins for enrollment with all kinds of information about what you can earn and they will help you find work.  you are told that you have to "qualify" to be accepted to attend their "for-profit" school and i even asked, "who gets turned down?".  no answer that makes sense.

you are told that at the end of the courses, you can do an international externship.  not true as i found out later, only domestic.  i asked why am i being charged for so many hours for an "externship" that may be paid or unpaid?  what is it that LCB does that is so important that justifies the amount of charges for the externship hours when i am the one doing the externship and not even in a school classroom/lab.  no answer that makes sense.

i had to withdraw 5 months into the classes and if you do not have an "approved" leave of absence, you have to withdraw and the school and corporation will stick you with a calculated amount of "earned" tuition that they would have received in a 12 month period, estimated to be $8000 in my case, due immediately or face getting hounded from reps in IL corporate office, basically making sure they get their money besides the student loan money that goes in their pockets.  student are saddled with huge student loans and at the end after "graduating", have poor paying positions contrary to what was presented in all the hoopla of recruitment of sucker students.

LCB dallas is just one tentacle of the ripoff web that career education corporation has spun to entrap the vulnerable student.
