This is an employment agency that run adds in your local newspaper for employment within 2 weeks. The ad will state that they have thousands of jobs with various fortune 500 companies that have recruited them to find permenant employee for them. When you call they give you a spill that they will find you a great job paying good rates with benefits in 2 weeks. They then tell you that they have a one time placement fee cash or credit card only of $195.00 that you have to take either Bank of America (account# 229009693930) or UPS didn't write down the account number with them. You the are told to call them back immediately after you deposit your money in there account and they then tell you to fax them a resume and state that you have to be available to work immediately.

Well to make a long story short you are assigned to a person that works with you and they will never be available again now that they have your money. You will just keep leaving message after message and I even went to there web site (www.careerhotline.org) and left several messages. It has been 3 weeks and no one has gotten back to me. I check the BBB but to my suprise no reports were filed on this company and I didn't know about this site. I am currently employed and mentioned it in the break room and guess what about 4 guys had been schemed with this same agency. This company is taking full advantage of people so please beware, I plan to put them out there in Baltimore, Maryland. I was able to find out that the company is actually base in Florida don't know what city.

It's no secret that people will take advantage of those who are desperate.

Legitimate employment agencies, or headhunters if you prefer, do not ask for funds up-front to find people jobs. The customary arrangement involves employers paying the agencies to screen and seek qualified candidates for jobs that they offer.

Any employment agency that asks you to pay up-front is very likely to be a complete scam, as you found out the hard way.

The only way to put these kind of people out of business is to stop giving them your money. Let them find gainful employment and they will then be forced to be honest.

Nothing is absolute and nothing is ever guaranteed. You have to do a little research on any employer you are considering, and you have to do double the amount of research on those who are asking you to give them your money.

All you ever have to do to find out the good and bad on any established company or entity is to Google them. Add the word "complaints" to the name of the entity. If they are scam artists, you'll like see a reference to this site almost immediately.

If you can't find a thing listed in any search engines under the name of the business, then you're likely dealing with a brand new scam. If a website that you are visiting has no information as to exactly where they are physically located, then you're likely dealing with a scam. If what you read about a business is largely negative in nature, who in their right mind would take a chance that they too will not be ripped off?

Some things are simple common sense.
