In desperate times of poor economy and unemployment rate on the rise, companies discover ways to exploit your personal information to make profit. It's unfortunate, that as a single mother of 2 trying to survive with what I can, submitting resumes and filling out applications, that leave companies such as, "Career Network, Inc." laughing in ones face.

I have read such a response from the Career Network, Inc. stating that you have the option to deny any contact from their advertisers while submitting your application. However, when submitting your application, you're informed that checking off to further your education, is attribute that employers look upon.

Surely, that doesn't entice one to check off the box, right? Anything to at least get an interview. However, in this case I opted out of recieving any information from Universities, Credit Agencies and so on...Funny thing is, is I recieved several calls in the same day from Universities that I had no interest, nor requested any information.

BEWARE: On Craigs List, Career Builder, and Monster.com you can find companies like the Career Network, Inc. boasting of job opportunities, paying an attractive salary. Don't be fooled by contacting by their listed email addresses that are tied to gmail, yahoo, and...well...you get the idea.

Look for companies that have their names tied to their direct website and call their HR Department to confirm.

Companies like "Career Network, Inc." exploit Craigs List...Career Builder...etc. I can agree my resume looked interesting enough to be contacted by Career Network, Inc. again, only to disappear and redo the application process over...that of course has the option for Advertisers to contact you.

The only typing I wanted to do, was one that required a complaint and warning to those caught in this scam.
