Complaint Review: CARES Center for animal referral and emergency services

In Defense of the lady with her puppy. I too went to CARES in Langhorne and did not receive any level of professional treatment. Granted the animal I brought there was old and had some pre-existing conditions- however the caring and treatment of the Dog and our family was less than professional, In fact a Dr. RC who runs the facility dismissed us and the loved family pet as not worthy of his effort and told us the animal would not survive the day- but he'd give us his valuable time and maybe save him.

a very cavalier attitude for someone entrusted with the life of a pet that we considered a family member. we reluctantly left him with Dr RC - because we did know other Vets in that group and requested that person look at our Dog. We were told Dr RC only looks at emergencies and if the dog survived then the doctor we preferred could take care of the dog.

The pet did not survive the night and in spite of his age- no one was convinced that Dr RC did anything to try and save the pet. An unnoble end for a trusted friend.

If you care about your animal - the uncaring- unknowledgeable Dr RC is not the one to care for your pet- AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE-THERE ARE MANY OTHER PLACES WITH CARING AND COMPETENT DOCTORS.
