Upon using the carfax service, I feel I didn't get enough information on request.

Says 100% guarantee, but it is almost impossible to contact them. Only wants email contact, then they never answer the email.

I have asked several times for a refund, only to get a stock answer on the website, would only repeat the first response

I leased a truck for 2 years and purchased it at the end of lease,it was originally leased in Ma. in Dec. and re-registered it in Az. in march when I moved. The leasing co. did not apply for a title until six months after I leased it and carfax ONLY used the mileage of the truck when it was registered in Az. which of course was more then the 73 miles the title had 6 months earlier. Carfax had NO information the truck was leased and registered in Ma. in Dec. Two years after I purchased the truck I was moving and listed it for sale,I had a buyer right away due to the low mileage and pristine condition until I lost the sale due to carfax and their bogus information,he said the report had possible odometer fraud. I contacted carfax and they had me fax them all the documents showing they were wrong and I called a week later and they said they never received them, faxed them again and called a week later along with e-mails,I was told everytime I emailed or called they would have to start the process all over again and it would take longer in which I stated I would contact the local news and expose them if this situation was not cleared up immediately.

After a month of hell they emailed me the new report clearing this mess up and I had to take a fourteen hundred dollar loss along with 220.00 more for continually relisting the truck because I needed to sell it fast for I was moving.

If carfax cant get legitimate information like when and where the vehicle was first purchased or even the fact that it was registered in another state how reliable can they really be?
