My complaint  concerns the company CARGOLARGO, 1600 N 291 HWY, SUITE 700-800, INDEPENDENCE, MO 64058-2827; WWW.CARGOLARGO.COM when they describe new or working order goods, are neither, and put up a fight when requesting a refund (even when the goods are returned to the business).

Two weeks ago, I purchased an educational software program called Grammarlogues from CargoLargo through Amazon.com.  They listed the software I purchased as "factory-sealed" and "new. "  When it arrived by USPS, it was enclosed in a sturdy mailing box but the actual software box inside was taped up with general retail, 5cm width, clear packaging tape (even partially covering the bar code) which gave me a clue it was "used."  I opened the package, and when I tried to install it, the licensed software registration stated that it was, "ALREADY ACTIVATED!"  The software is set not to run until it is activated, so it was useless to me.  Besides, I know this to be illegal!!!

I immediately contacted the seller CargoLargo as Amazon requests but Jan from CargoLargo accused me of installing and activating the software and then trying to return used software.   They refused to give a refund and immediately told me that I would need to file a claim against this purchase.  Of course, they clearly denied selling used software (selling illegal, pirated software which would get them kicked off sites like Amazon and E-bay) and accused me of installing Grammarlogues and then wanting my money back.   Their blatant dishonesty has made me quite mad!!!!

I looked up CargoLargo's history on both Amazon.com and E-bay.com.  The unresolved complaints still registered from buyers concern (1) items described and sold as new but found to be used, and (2) items sold that do not work.

I also contacted Grammarlogues Software Company to verify that they do not factory-seal with packaging tape and that the number was already registered.  Grammarlogues backed me on both accounts.  The company CargoLargo then accused me that I was the one placing packaging tape on the box (which covered the bar code).

This "general junk-and-salvage dealer" picks up items at flea markets, yard sales, liquidation sales, etc., and purchases refurbished items.  They then place these items on E-bay, Amazon, and if it cannot get away selling it on these two internet businesses, then it goes to CraigsList.

For example: they are currently (as of 12 February 2010), selling:  NEW BAND HERO PLAYSTATION 2 PS2 BAND KIT 65 BIGGEST POP HIT on E-bay,  Item number 39015421242 for $9.99, when it retails on Amazon.com for $149.99 and the cheapest used price is $95.00.  Tell me this company is not dodgy!  Com on, folks, they are selling illegal pirated software!!!  When you purchase from them, beware, for it you find it defective, the cost will most likely be incurred on you!!!!!!!  Also note that if you have an un-confirmed address, no E-bay protection exists for your goods purchased through E-bay.  Dodgy dealers have been known to susposedly send out unconfirmed packages never to arrive at your doorstep.  Again, ignorance is not bliss -- it is costly!!!!!
