I bought a car from Carhop on March 20, 2006. I was told at the time of purchase that the cars are "checked out", repaired, and "certified" by Carhop before the vehicles are sold. On March 22, the first visit to the mechanic was needed. The brakes started to grind badly, and there was some sort of "squeaking" and rubbing going on in the back end of the car. I dropped my car off, and they told me the problem had been fixed. Of course the brakes were fine, but the rubbing on the back end was still present. A couple of days later, I contacted Carhop's service center again, and explained to them that rubbing problem was still present, and they told me to take it back to the shop. I was also told that my car would be fixed the same day.I dropped my car off as soon as the shop was open. Later that day (4pm), I called to find out when I could pick up my car. The shop told me they did not get the parts from Carhop, and I ended up waiting almost 3 days. I was told that the rubbing were the struts, and that they had been replaced. They were not. I recieved my car back from the shop 2 days ago, and Lo and behold, the same problem is back again. Only this time, the brakes lights are also flashing in my car. I have left SEVERAL messages, and still have not recieved a call back. No matter what your situation, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM CARHOP!!!!!

You're customer service personnel are very unprofessional. They lie and double talk themselves. I was actually swore at by one of your People. So before you say your customer service is good maybe you should guess again. Your sales people also lie and mis lead people. Remember this make sure you know who you are trying to run a game on they just may be better than you.

No "Mary" sold on 3/20/06 at IGH, MN. We have a perfect record of handling customer complaints (when we know who it is!).

We do not have a record of a "Mary" being sold on 3/20/06 at our Inver Grove Heights location.

CarHop has an impeccable record of handling customer problems and complaints when we actually know who it is that is having trouble.

We question the validity of this complaint, but regardless, we would be happy to assist in resolving this issue. Please contact the store and ask for a manager.
