Complaint Review: Carisa Migliore Coldwell Banker

Blatant disregard, bad business, underhanded, misleading ..... My husband and I were working with Mrs. Migliore (a realtor with Coldwell Banker) to purchase a home. We selected a property to view, and asked her to research the property (she had no prior knowledge of the property), and asked her to show us the home. We visited the home with her on Sunday, March 2, 2003. I contacted her the following day (Monday, March 3) requesting further information, and to arrange another viewing time. I was contacted on Wednesday, March 5 and was told that the house was no longer available because she had purchased the property for her own personal use. I cannot stress enough that she WAS NOT aware of this property until my husband and I requested a showing. While I am aware that this is not a matter of legal issue, I feel that her actions were unethical and very dishonest. At no point did she disclose the fact that she was looking at the property, nor was I afforded an opportunity to make an offer on said property. She seemingly postponed any contact with me regarding the house until her offer was accepted and approved. I realize that without a signed contract I have no claim to the property, and that it is an open market. I do, however, feel that the agent/client relationship is one that is built on trust and honesty, and this relationship should be respected. Her actions displayed a definite disregard for our partnership, and I feel that this sort of behavior should be frowned upon in the business arena. Jenny Smyrna, Georgia
