It seems that although I've read the other rip-off reports about this individual, I thought they were not based on much credible info: I was wrong!

Typical case where someone pays for something, a couple of manuscripts in my case, and never receives anything.
I bought the manuscripts of his Flippa.com auction, and after quite a few emails back and forth he refused to refund the money or send the manuscripts.

You can see from his Flippa profile that in the last few month some other people had the same type of problem:

His last email said that I'll receive the money back very soon- this was about 2 month ago....

I've started an official complain as well with the authorities in Ohio, to see what they can do about this fraudster.

For several years I have had to deal with negative posts from the same two individuals. They are never required to prove their identity, or even provide proof of their claims. So they keep posting negative things without impunity.

And now there are numerous people taking content from this site, and creating new sites of their own.

In time the laws will provide stiff civil penalties against people who try to hide behind fake names and try to ruin another's business.

So, when I get time I respond to these complaints. I do this because I believe that any intelligent person will see how these complaints are not able to hold up when the facts are known.

In this case, the complaint is about an auction on Flippa.com. Flippa is probably the top auction site for web sites. I have been a member for many years.

Flippa also has a system in place whereas a complaining party has an avenue to lodge their complaint. The complaint is then investigated and a final determination is made. As a seller it would be suicidal for your sales if you ripped someone off on Flippa. The goal is to maintain a high rating, just like eBay sellers, etc. and Flippa will terminate your account if they believe you are ripping people off.

In this particular instance the buyer could not pay me via normal means. I do not accept PayPal but I do accept credit cards, checks, etc.

So his plan was to pay via an ACH transfer into my bank account. He did this by opening a PayPal account in my name! Yep! I don't know what address or other information he used, but his plan was to fund this new account with the money he owed, and then transfer it to my bank account using the routing number and account number.

As far as I know, he did fund the paypal account, but the account got frozen. I never received the money. I had no way to log into the PayPal account because I didn't have the login, and he used his own email account to set it up.

So the money was in limbo. And as far as I know, it is still in limbo.

I asked him to show me proof that my account received the money, which he should have easily been able to do. And he also could have charged back his credit card payment, or however else he funded the account.

But he was never able to provide any information. So I refused to give him anything.

I felt my response was reasonable, and the way he wanted to do the transaction was too odd to really be trustworthy.
