Carlisle Tire & wheel Company Refusing to take resposibility for tire cord failure Aiken, South Carolina
I bought my boat with the trailer 05/15/09 after 5 days during my first trip to Wisconsin from Illinois 2 of my tires have exploded when towinmy boat.Then after 2 month have exploded one more it caused damage of my trailer and the boat .Carlisle payed almost all expences and I fixed all damages which is nice.
Like you know boating season is short and it was all autumn/winter/spring in the storage, then again I open season in june and during my third trip from Morris IL to home 80 miles round trip another tire have exploded and made damage to my trailer and boat.
This is nothing compare what feelings are when you changing tire night time on highway when is dark all hevy trucks flying closer than than 1 ft from your back and you need to unbend , bended fender (without tools) and to change spare tire if still left (like last year 2 tires was exploded on the same trip)
But this year Carlisle have differend warranty claim procces which makes me thinking that they avoiding to take any resposibility.
Now they asking to send them for an evaluation first then they saying that the an evaluation procces runs each two weeks .Then after two weeks I tryed to call Carlisle warranty claim department to ask what the status but my Customer Care Analyst -Julie Buckner tryed to explain that soon I will receive letter then I caled after one week more and she said that letter was sended out I asked what an evaluation status is? But there is no answer just she told me she will keep me updated with sending email. But nothing except I received letter almost after month with lack explanation.
AN EVALUATION HAS BEEN COMPLETED ON THIS CLAIM .TIRE EXIBIBITS AN IMPACT WOUND.NO NONCONFORMANCE WAS FOUND IN THE TIRE .
There was wisible tire layers separaiting from the cord ( I do have pictures) but some how they came out with strange evaluation there is no any signs of tire impact!
I will wait when Rick Taylor come back from vacation (Sandy assistant mentioned about next week 09/28/10) and I will ask him what he thinks
