Carlton Sheets. Rip-off con-artists tricked, scammed, took us for all we had, and lied to us. Nationwide, Internet, USA
When I first contacted them via the phone, I had seen their info commercial and at he time they said if I ordered within twenty minutes I could get the entire package "the giude, the videos, the cds, his online personal help and the rst of his materials for the low low price of 3 easy payments of $69.95.
As of today the total chrges to my account has been $3,777.00 my credit card company has had to send my account to collections as I'am unable to afford to pay them, but to make things even worse the bill collectors at the carlton sheets headquarters are still hounding for yet an additional $500.00 dollars in late fees
Mr. Sheets has totally destroyed my excellent credit rating, and he and his staff are a bunch of ruthless thugs for even bfore this had had a chance to get out of hand I had attempted to return the material after only having the materials for fouteen days, at that time I was informed that my thirty day guarentee began the moment I ordered the materials, and that took three weeks to get to my door. so they informed me that my thirty days was up and demaned full payment.
I really don't exspect anyone to be able to help me, I realise I was the stupid idiot for trusting someone I did'nt know, but no matter how you add it up 3 payments of $69.99 does not add up to $3,777.00 plus $500.00 dollars in late fees, and just so you understand my credit limit was and I mean was $3000.00 dollars for which Mr. Sheets and his staff have recieved and that I now owe, and can no longer get credit or buy a home or buy a car or open a bank account, thanks to these greedy shelfish, and completley misleeding persons.
This kind of underhanded bussiness practice should be outlawed and I personnaly feel victimised, thankyou for letting me air my greivance, and I can only hope that you can let other people see this before Mr. Sheets and his staff destroy their finacial future.
Thanks
Joseph

Joe,
Your situation sounds totally avoidable! This was obviously a bookeeping error. My policy is to hold big business responsible for sloppy and fraudelent books.
I admonish you to contact your Oregon Attorney General Hardy Myers first thing next week. Explain to the hotline your situation and have all paperwork and bills handy. Both Carleton Shets and your credit card company are guilty parties in sloppy bookkeeping. Look at the trouble I am having with the Worldcom people!

The first thing you should have done is put this in dispute with your credit card company. THen every communication with the company should be in writing. If it more than 2 billing cycles then you are out of luck. Next time know your rihgts and use them.
