Complaint Review: Carly's Danes and Doxies

I purchased a Great Dane puppy from Carly's Danes and Doxies about one year ago. This was my first dog and unfortunately I was a little naive in what I should expect out of a breeder. I am unsure how many times our puppy's mother gave birth but I have a feeling after the issues I had with my puppy that she was being used to breed far too many times. To me it seems like they are strictly out for the money and have no real concern for their dogs quality of life.

I received a beautiful looking puppy and was very happy with everything in the beginning. About 6 months in she started to get these marble sized nots on her body. We took her into the vet and they took a sample on the first two that we saw. They determined that they were non cancerous cysts. She had about 4 or 5 of them over time. At about 9 months in she started to get some swelling in her chest. It continued to grow and after about 6-7 vet trips we discovered that she had a tumor and cancer.

In a matter of 2 weeks the swelling went from hardly noticiable to about the size of a cantalope. It all happened so quickly that we were advised by our vet that even with chemo theapy and surgery to remove the tumor the likelihood that our pup would live was close to 0. So at 9 months old we had to put down our puppy. Our vet, who had been in the business for over 40 years says he has never seen a dog that young with cancer and rarely sees dogs with that rapid of cancer growth. I tried calling them multiple times and never once did they answer their phone.
