if there is truely a 110 point inspection on ALL vehicles....then praytell how can something be missed and then reimbursed by carmax???
Did they not know what size tires came on a car originally?
Do they have 'young lnow-it-alls working in the inspection shop? all i have to say is if you dont have the car looked over by your own machanic---then you get what you deserve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to offer my experience with Carmax as rebuttle to the "Rep-Off" report I just read. I bought a 1998 Infinity QX4 and thought the price and quick all-inclusive sales/service experience was refreshing and wonderful. Left the store a happy man. But it didn't end there. I discovered something was missing afterhaving the vehicle a couple of days and asked via the internet that the item (arear cargo area retractable cover) be provided. The prompt response I received was that although it was an "Optional" item which Carmax had no obligation to provide (checked out to be true), because I had asked nicely, Carmax would reimburse me for the purchase of the item. Which they did within two weeks of the purchase from the Local Infinity dealer. Next, I had a flat tire at which time it was discovered that the previous owner of the QX4 had installed slightly larger sized tires. Long story short; when I got back to town Carmax asked that I bring it in to be checked out for any possible damage. None found. In and out in minimal time with a reimbursement for the cost of all four new Michellin tires. I tell everybody I know what a great experience mine has been with Carmax. I know this is long but that's my story.

That should have cost you exactly $25

I have purchased two cars from carmax. Both times I have taken their advice and purchased a four year 48 thousand mile warranty. It covers just about every single item on the car. I had 1400 dollars worth of repairs done on my Pathfinder and I paid the $25 deductable. Maybe you should have purchased the warranty
