CarMax ripoff Fort Worth Texas
We bought a 1998 Camaro. We spent $1500 in repairs within the first month and a half. The wiring had been rigged.
The right signal light kept blowing.
The passanger window had to be rolled up in intervals as the motor was worn out and had to cool inbetween up and down. The cover for the fuse box had been velcroed over the top.
The car cost $12,995. Our payments are $332 a month. We have paid on it for 14 months. The car was totaled and CarMax quoted a payoff of $12,695. So in 14 months, $300 is all that has gone towards our car.
Do I hear RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why didn't you return the car within the 30 days and have it fixed under the bumper to bumper warranty through CarMax?
Better yet, why didn't you buy an extended warranty? It was a USED car!!
Either of the 2 above ideas would have fixed your car with no out of pocket expense for you.
As for your $332/month payments, that car was only $12995 you must have the world's worst credit. Thats why after paying on it for 14 months your payoff was still $12695. Maybe next time you'll purchase a car within your means or shop for a lower interest rate.
