I purchased a 2013 Dodge Charger RT with 20k miles from Carmax in November 2016. I went with Caramx because of their reputation of thouroughly inspeciting all their cars for issues prior to selling them. Initially I was very pleased with the purchase and the assistance of the staff. I was told the car had a 30 day warranty from the Carmax and was still under warranty from the naufacturer. A week later when I started having steering and breaking issues. They gave me an alignment and checked my brakes not to find anything. The squeaking presisted do I brought it in again. Over the course of the 1st month, I was literally at the dealership more than once a week to get the problem found and fixed. After the Carmax warranty expired, I found out the manufacturer warranty was expired to, and am thankful Carmax decited to extend it for me. However, over the ourse of the next 6 months, I was coming back numerous times, either for the brakes squeaking or making vibrations while I brake. They even had to replace control arms on a car with 20k miles which they claim they inspected thouroughly.

At one point they said they'll have to add new rotors in the front, but put on a pair of some really rusty ones caliming they were new. Once after they replaced the brake pads, the car was making clicking noices when braking. I had to bring it in 3 sperate times since they never heard it while I was there. Finally they admitted the technician didn't install the pads correctly. After my last time there, they sharpened all 4 rotors and I was finally happy that there is no more squeaking... up untill a few weeks ago. I called Carmax and was told that they'll no longer fix it since they did all they could, and that the reason for the problems is because of my driving habits. I baby this car and have had several cars over my lifetime and never had an issue like this.

I've wasted numerous hours to take off work to get these issues fixed over the last couple of months only to keep having these issues. Carmax has excellent sales staff, but once it comes to repairs, I woulndn't trust their mechanics, and definitely will never recommend them to anyone.
