Complaint Review: Carmine

I just realized that I have been ripped-off...

"Carmine" as he claimed to be, came up to me at a Chevron gas station in Hawthorne today off Prairie and Rosecrans, 03/17/2006 at around 10:15 am in a dark blue dodge charge with tinted windows.

Carmine himself was about 5'8", 165 lbs., and appeared flushed.

He told me he is looking for LAX and if I could help him with a problem he is having...This is where a red flag should've popped in my head as who asks strangers for favors.

Anyhow, the s****.> So far everything 'looked' kosher...Then he asks me to lend him $800 for ticket money because he was supposedly here from Italy attending a trade show as a new designer for Armani.

I was skeptical when he was telling me about this but when he showed me a trunk full of nice leather jackets - and that sold me.

There was about 15 jackets there and he said he would gift me all of them!

Knowing the value of even 2 jackets was convincing enough to let go of $800.

So I agreed like the simple, honest, and decent human being I am. The s****.> I told him I didn't have cash with me but could get it from the bank. So he followed me there and I took out the money.

Next thing you know he asks if I could throw in another $200 so he can eat and take care of personal needs. Once again, the nice human being I am, offered to help.

Fortunately, I've been blessed in life and am not so upset about losing the money as I am about being so cunningly decieved.

WOW!

That's all I can say...PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS YOUNG FELLOW!
