I have allergies to alcohol and if I do not take an allergy pill prior to drinking (even a 1/4 cup) I will swell up, ears turn red, hives and itching.  I had several drinks on the cruise line and did not have any of these symptoms.  I contacted Carnival when I returned and informed them that I was aware they were either watering down the alcohol or were not putting any alcohol in the 'speciality' alcoholic beverages (due to my allergies).  The food was awful, the entertainment bad, and there was only ONE pool for 2,500 people (smaller than my condo's pool).  Carnival misrepresents their cruises and all the 'fun' you will have!  I was bored out of my skull.  When I contacted the complaint line at Carnival and told them the same things they were basically like oh well, we have a lot of other people that do not complain and many returning cruisers.  As I told the man I spoke with I really didn't care, they ruined my vacation and it cost me $800!

This has got to be a B.S. complaint.  If you have such bad allergies, why drink alcohol to begin with?  And if you were responsble and took your medication, isn't it possible the meds worked and you didn't swell?  That whole complaint of yours makes no sense.  Plus, considering Carnival is known for booze cruising, I cannot believe their drinks didn't have alcohol.
