It was awful, worst experience of my life. carnival ruined my honeymoon and worse didnt give a hoot. it was a dirty nasty place that smelled badly. the crew was rude and ran the ship like a infomercial. it was like a high pressured sales pitch and all you can do is hide in your second rate room that would rival a roach hotel you know the scary ones. we wanted off at first stop then they tried to desert us. i had no money after settling with the ship paying for my own bags to get back. taxis they flew us to florida then atlanta then housten we had to rent a car to get back we were broke. carnival is a terrible company and should be ashamed of themselves

Alright here are the details okay.....sunday may 10th, port of galveston, cabin 1268 checked in carryied my own bags on board checked in asked lady if we could pay cash at front desk she says yes. although there was a hold needed for security purposes like a hotel she assured it would not be charged. i said okay heres my debit card. mind you im newly married and i spent everything i had on a fantastic wedding. however i was given like 2000 in cash. i thought heck thats a vacation. i had about 300 dollars in my account basically broke. went to room disapointed with ship odd smell, tacky room, whatever im not complaining how often were we going to be in my room. they the welcomed us and informed us that mexico stop was cancelled swine flu issues which i thought that problem was long over. woopi a twenty dollar credit. lousy food in formal dining. lousy buffet and lousy everything. tried some shows terrible. tried bingo god were in our twentys really bingo still trying to make the best of it. well we both have twenty dollars lets spend it. okay morning two,  get a letter please see front desk. go there and my debit card has been overdrafted five times really thought it was like a hotel. spent the rest of that day getting my bank and the boat together to take off charges. now im pissed and they apoligize. well its my honeymoon im really trying to hold it together i have a wonderfull wife and i love her and im hopping it gets better. in fact im praying it gets better. the boat i swear promotes drunkeness, i like a beer or a glass of wine. people puking drunk not hot! its not attractive to pass out people. well i said that as a prelude to the straw that broke the camels back, me and my wife went for a walk at sunset after dinner it was to be romantic you know and i kid you not a fight broke out on top deck drunk people. it was soooo bad people. at that point i took carnival up on there vacation promise like it or well fly you home. well thats bull crap i fought and fought, my family called carnival head quarters and they reluctently agreed after i was forced to talk with like 5 employees. they treated us like crap they gave us 30 minutes to get to a plane(in jamaca). we were running and we made it however it wasnt home it was to florida the next morning they flew us to alanta then houston. we had to give away most of our stuff because we didnt have money for bag fees. we left from galveston they flew us to houston. we begged the guy at national rental to rent us a car we had zero money we had to settle with the boat before they would let us leave. i had 35 dollars left. the guy at national gave us a suv it was so nice of him and i hope God blesses him for what he did. he saved us. we made it too galeston they had port police get our car he ran our names for warrents and gave us a hard time for leaving. my parents wired us money for gas. now how do you feel about this, really do you want to comment or defend them. really boycott carnival i called them before i posted this and tried to give them an oppurtunity to make this up to us, our anniversary is may 9th they said i quote we dont care you are already off the boat. email me if you want, ambrosecn28@yahoo.com im serious about this i have pictures and a video of how i was treated, and the paper you gotta sign so carnival can sue you, had a guy in the elevator sign it mickey mouse so sue me carnival if you want.

Could you possibly provide more details?  Your report is somewhat difficult to follow.  It appears that you chose to leave the ship at its first port the way its written.  IF you provide more detail, others may be able to assist you.

well paul you dont know where your at this is rip off report not suck up cause i work for carnival.com. you know a little to much about the policies to leave the boat for some one who just cruises for fun. get a grip and dont try to make it better cause you cant, it was my honeymoon. not a cruise for fun, or im need a vacation spot kindof an important deal here. so go away paul nobody cares what you think. really to have the audacity to comment really shows what kind of classy guy you are. i did go to carnival to get help and they gave me crap for two days. im serious folks this is a really bad company they are con artists who really dont care about you or your special occassions. thanks for reading and do yourselves a favor stay somwhere with some class

I have NEVER had a bad experience on Carnival.  I have sailed on the Conquest, when at the time, it was the largest cruise ship in the world.  I even sailed on the Holiday, before it was taken out of serve, and even that ship was small but well run, and kept up, even though that is the oldest ship in the fleet.

I will continue to sail on CCL, if you had a bad experience, you should have tried to work it out before you left the ship.  Just like at a hotel, once you leave, your right to complain and get something out of it, is gone.
