I find myself to be in a rather large group. I also trusted HR Privette and Ruth Dodd with our hard earned savings, hoping to get a nice dining room set. As we all have found out this is not to be.

I have filed with the North Carolina Attorney General's Division of Consumer Protection. I also filed with my home state Attorney General's Division of Consumer Protection.

I read in one of the other Rip-Off reports that HR Privette is to go to court on March 25, I can only hope that this is true. I am sure that it is only wishful thinking but I would hope that we could all get our money back. The problem is that people (if you can call him that)like him usually get away with it, and hard working people like us are the ones that lose out.

I noticed you are from Washington Township, NJ. I live in Williamstown and ordered from Miller Burns in December. I found this web site by accident when I didn't have Miller Burns number with me and wanted to call to check up on my order. Now I am horrified!! I have been leaving messages day and night. "Ray" called me on Thursday to say that my order would be hear this weekend. Not another word since.

I noticed that there was a truck parked at the corner of the Black Horse Pike and Cross Keys road (Sam's Club corner) selling furniture. I thought I would stop and talk to the people to see if they knew of Miller Burns or Mr. Privette. When I pulled up I was shocked to see Carolina Furniture written on the door of the truck! This was today, April 5th. I got out and looked at some furniture trying to figure out what to say to these people. The lady told me that if there was anything I wanted to give them the order numbers, they would make a phone call to see if it was in the warehouse and after leaving a deposit they would bring it back next week. Furniture in 7 days!?!?!?

They are still trying to rip off people in our own town!! I left a message with the detective in North Carolina that is in charge of the criminal case against Mr. Privette, Donnell Marlew 910-253-2751.

I didn't hear back yet but they were asked to leave by the Washington Township police. They just went up the street to Monroe Township where they were also asked to leave by the police. I do remember seeing them a few months ago parked by Cross Keys in the lot where they sell the sheds but I didn't take notice to the name on the truck because I didn't suspect that I was about to be ripped off at the time. I will post a follow up as soon as I hear back from the local police or Mr. Marlew from North Carolina.
