I purchased furniture from Privette in early 2002. I did receive it after several months and numerous calls. Since I was successful and pleased with the merchandise, I decided to purchase a leather set by Ashley which was at a great price. I had no idea of his legal situation and he never volunteered any information which is truely misleading.

Items were purchased on 1/31/2003. I have not been able to contact him since 2/5/03. I was informed that since the manufactor is American based, I would receive the merchandise within 4 to 6 weeks, regardless of the normal 14 to 18 weeks. Well, I call everyday with no success, and as for delivery, if no communication takes place, nothing can happen. I do not believe I will be refunded nor receive the furniture.

Not being a person with deep pockets, I feel hurt and violated by an American. My family is suffering because of this. The District Attorney's Office in Raleigh, NC has been contacted. Privette goes to court on March 25, 2003. What will happen is the million dollar question.
