Complaint Review: Carolines T-Shirts

I was having a T-shirt printed for a friends 18th birthday present. Firstly, I rang a few different companys to compare prices and I had the lowest quote from Carolines T-shirts so went there.

I went in, described the design I wanted and he gave me the invoice, gradually adding more and more additional costs until it was the most expensive quote I'd had.

I gave a depost of 2/3's of the full price and went away to come back on the date it would be printed, the day before my friends birthday.

When I came back, the t-shirt was a shambles. Every font used was wrong to what i'd said and the sizes and positioning were all wrong.

When I mentioned the bad quality they were anything but understanding and blamed my vagueness (even though there was a written report of what I'd asked for infront of them) and their machinery.

I didn't have time for it to be re-done, so asked for a discount. They would not comply with this and were annoyed I'd asked. They then wouldn't let me buy the shirt for the full price and hid it telling me to leave. The two men were both aggressive and personally abusive. He insisted on giving the deposit back, trying to force it into my pocket because I didn't want it back as I still wanted the shirt.

I was not abusive in response in any way and merely stated that it was improper business. Eventually I had to leave without the birthday present for my friend.
