On June 20th, the head of Carowinds security, came to our campsite. (Yes another security guard fiasco at carowinds) I was living with my son in my camper, on a site owned by Carowinds. Under a worker/camper program at $175.00 per month rental charge. According to the park general manager, we had until the 20th. Of June to catch up. On the 20th was the 20th. day. The head of security told me and my son we had to get out right then because we were past due on our site rental. I offered to pay her and she only replied , that she wanted us out. So we started packing.
About an hour later, the mecklenberg county police. With an attitude. He started talking to us like we were criminals. He told us we had to be out and gone in 2 hours or we would be arrested for trespassing. Do you think it is possible to pack all your belongings and move them in a minivan in two hours ? This policeman did. We have not figured out why he had such a nasty attitude toward us. We were totally cooperative. The reason I believe this happened: The head of security at Carowinds had met with this officer before he came to our site and told him some lie about us Or he just wanted to throw his authority around. Because of him we left 90% of our belongings behind.
As far as I can tell Carowinds did not follow any eviction practices. They did not give my son an eviction notice. They did show him his contract saying he had to pay by the 20th of each month. Carowinds thinks they are outside the law. I became a homeless vet because of this. My son became homeless. I told the head of security this She said she didn't care , all she wanted was for us to get out. Hope no one has to experience carowinds security. They are as unprofessional as a group can be See other complaints about their security. There appeared to be some type of collusion between the security and the police They assume everyone is ignorant. I'm not. Believe me when I tell you most security people are wannabes police. Who are you? How do you know the details? Are yo an attorney? If yes I will gladly give you the name of mine. How did I gamble and lose? What stake do you have in this? Is this really your name? If you know nothing how could possibly make a comment? Do you know the eviction laws in Mecklenberg counyu? Maybe you should start there before a ridiculous comment is made. Don't pretend you know something that you couldn't.

You were told you had UNTIL the 20th to "catch up", meaning you were behind. You FAILED to pay them and on the 20th they told you to leave. One thing you failed to mention as well is the time of day this happened. What time did they come to your campsite and tell you to leave?
But you see here is the problem. If you offered to pay them when they told you to leave why did you NOT go on your own and pay them before that time? Answer....you were taking a gamble and holding off as long as possible to pay them. Where I bet this is not the first time and they got tired of your games. Even if it was your first time, with you offering to pay them proves you had the money. Meaning you actually had no intention of paying them.
As for the time to pack up, you in effect had 3 hours, and we are not talking about a 2 bedroom house. You are talking about a Camp Site. There is no reason you had to leave 90% of your stuff behind, unless YOU were delaying moving or your camp site was so full of junk it would make the hosts of the show "horders" cringe in disbelief.
So no, I don't think you are ignorant. I think you knew exactly what you were doing, unfortunatly so did they and that is why you got kicked out.
But you know what...you claim there is some consipracy between Security and the Police, and that the security told some lie about you. So please tell us what was this lie?
