BEWARE AND BE WATCHFUL- This is disheartening and disappointing that such company such as CARPET DEPOT still exists in this world today. As a customer we have been badly treated with no respect and our experience with such a company is appalling. They provided an inferior quality carpet that we were charged $3000.00.
Installation was extremely poor and after numerous complaints, the unreasonable owner asked one of the insolent rep Larry (rude, impudent, unprofessionalism assistant who certainly could not help but made inappropriate silly remarks and criticize that the initial carpet should not have been installed.

Three thousand dollars $3000 was charged for the awful, horrible job that was completed and the carpet was coming loose from floor, there was a huge, unsightly seam across the floor after only six months and numerous complaints to owner fell on deaf ears.

We would never buy or recommend them to anyone ever again. Please do watch out for CARPET DEPOT, the company has been operating under false pretense.

The service techs and the sales reps tell two different stories. The carpet purchased was under warranty but the owner Steve Melker concluded he could only replace the carpet if we pay another couple of thousands for a job that was improperly done from the get go. This is when I realized that CARPET DEPOT is a ripoff entity!!!

When a customer insists on spending as little as possible and insists on buying carpeting that is unsuited for an intended heavy use application, it is only a matter of time before such a short sighted decision becomes a problem. In this case, the customer bought 20 ounce carpeting for a high traffic public location.  The customer should have accepted our advice to invest in heavier, more durable carpeting. It did not want to spend the extra money. After 2 years, the carpet is badly stained from droppings and spills and shows signs of overuse (for the type of carpet).

At Carpet Depot, we take great pride in our installations and look to provide real and lasting customer satisfaction. When you look at our carpeting, we want to you to smile, knowing that you received the right product at a reasonable price, expertly installed.

We would like to help this customer but they need to commit to paying the cost of a heavier, better carpet.

The report they filed is not reasonable and obviously does not tell the whole story.  If a customer makes a decision which later turns out not to have been the right one, they should not blame the merchant who tried to steer them in the right direction in the first place.

Carpet Depot is more than willing to stand by its products, but you can't blame us when an inexpensive, light weight carpet can't stand up to serious traffic and use.
