Carroll Fulmer Logistics Family Betrayal Groveland Florida
As the other writer wrote,You are supposed to be a member of the family.Well members of your family would not let you go to the poor house. And im not the only owner op.this has happened too.I was promised 3000 miles a week and would make $3500.00 week, what i got was a 2400 mile run paying 2100.00,when you take out $1200-1400.00 for fuel, that dont leave but 700-900.00,take out truck payments and insurance, that leaves change, that is if you have a decent truck, most of the drivers wont complain because they are driving trucks that are taped together, and dont have any truck payments. And them like other owner-operators driving the same type of equipment will haul loads for .70-.90cents a mile,THIS IS A DISGRACE!!I thought real men drove trucks,I WAS WRONG.This company takes advantage of O/Os.There's a liason there for driver concerns, but she spends most of the day playing with her dog(go figure). After I had a nasty phone conversation with our payroll dept.because my money was big time short(they"re fault)I found myself grounded in Groveland for 3 days(an avg.lost of 1500.00).That was the time to leave.Philip needs to get his head out of his a*s,and learn what it takes to keep a trucking companies most valuable employee(ITS DRIVERS).Stop screwing with the rates..Greed will destroy you....And never got that imaginary sign on bonus, and my escrow im sure they enjoyed the interest they got from it.Greg Frood ,you better become a better liar....Nothing in your letters have been true.I"d rather belong to the Sorpranos family, they would have dealt with this the right way........

Hey Trucking Vet, Did you mean to post that same old story or did you have something new to post. Because from where I sit it sounds like you cant get past your anger, are you just trying to dog Carroll Fulmer for something that happened back HOW long ago? If you had something new to write I would have felt your voice was worth hearing, but now it seems your just being an old grumpy trucker trying to piss on Carroll Fulmer because you cant move on. I now suspect Carroll Fulmer is nowhere near as bad as you first stated only because your beating a dead horse. You lost your punch when you went beyond reporting them. Now your just being vengeful and that would tell me you have issues of your own and Carroll Fulmer may very well have been right to have wanted you gone. Good luck dealing with your issues Trucker Vet, I just may give Carroll Fulmer a call and ask them about a job.

I read the rebuttal on Carroll Fulmer by Greg S Frood and have to admit I was little confused by Greg's comments. Greg you posted that the un-identified O/O had the following stats for 50 days of employment. Total 19,309 miles, with an average pay of $1.506 per mile, $29,083.29 gross. I'm not trying to be critical over your stats but I do have to ask myself if an average daily of 386 miles at $581.58 would be enough to make any real owner operator a happy person. I can't comment about the %'s other persons elaborate on as I have no knowledge about those cost and what they represent. But I can't say I would be very happy to take on all that responsibility for so little remuneration. As a company driver running coast to coast for the last 5 years I have averaged over 3000 miles a week every week I work. That means for the same 50 day time frame I have averaged nearly 26,000 miles, yet you're happy to claim your O/O received only 19,309 miles. A difference of 6405 miles or $9646.36 over those 50 days or 128 miles $192.93 less per day! Greg, it sounded like you are proud that was all you could offer a dedicated and loyal O/O working for your company! Is this true?
Folks all I can recommend to all you drivers out there is: The next time you are in a truck stop, a distribution center or any place you see a Carroll Fulmer truck, get out and talk to the driver. Ask them what they get for miles, ask if they are a company driver or O/O. Ask what they think of their recruiter, ask if he was a liar and don't rely on what people say on web sites like this. You and I both know that disgruntled drivers tell fables! You and I both know that we have talked to some very talented recruiters that could sell dog crap as brownies.

FIRST OF ALL, WITH THE FIGURES YOU GAVE YOU HAVE TO BE IN A POSITION THAT HAS ACCESS TO PAYROLL AND BY PUBLISHING HIS PAYROLL MAY HAVE BEEN A VIOLATION IF HIS RIGHTS, BUT ANY HOW, IF I DROVE THIER COMPANY TRUCK THEY WOULD HAVE TO SUPPLY ALL LOAD LOCKS AND PAD LOCKS NEEDED TO SECURE A LOAD AND HAVE MY MONEY IN ESCROW UNTIL ITS RETURNED AND SIGNED FOR. NOW IF I'M PROMISED 3000 MILES A WEEK ALL CONVERSATIONS WILL BE RECORDED AND IF THEY REFUSE THEN IN RETURN THAT TELLS ME THAT THEY CAN'T BE TRUSTED, ALL I ASK FOR IS THE TRUTH AND I DONT NEED TO BE LEASED TO THEM, SEE I HAVE THIS THING ABOUT LIEING AND BACK STABING, IN THE END I'VE NEVER LOST AND DONT SEE IT IN THE NEAR FUTURE, A LIE WILL COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU AS I WILL. OH YEA ANOTHER THING THAT PISS'S ME OFF IS WHEN SOMEBODY SAYS THAT LIL PHRASE, WELL THATS JUST TRUCKING,, NO ITS NOT, ITS THAT WAY BECAUSE YOU IDIOTS LET IT HAPPEN THAT WAY..

First of all I would like to start this off by saying I have nothing against any of these drivers personally..But I do start to wonder what world they live in. Of course things are not as good as they were last year, has any one checked the economy lately? No one is doing as well as they were in the past but CARROLL FUMLER is doing as well or better then most I would say. I am going to be honest with everyone that reads this. I think this website is ridiculous! I think is terrible that people can go on this website and make false claims with no proof or evidence and say bad things about others. That being said I am going to give you a example... In my earlier comments I provided stats and proof(unlike any drivers that have commented). And what is funny is the one driver still changed my facts to make them false with out even knowing where they came from. He ASSUMED I was using gross #'s to the Company instead of to the truck, which is wrong, that was the truck's portion(70%) that I was giving.. See what I mean?? They just take something and throw false accusations out there...We have 300 O/O's for the ones that want to work and haul frieght, they are still making a living and doing ok. Are they down a little financially because ecnomoy? Of course, so are we. But for the guys that want to work, they are still making it. It is strange too how none of these drivers give there names and tell who they are? Yet I make sure they know who is responding so if they have a problem they can contact me. I think that there should tell you a lot about an individual. The trucking Industry is a strange business and especially when it comes to O/O's...And I will still say you will not find a better company to be associated with then CARROLL FULMER LOGISTICS!!!

he may have grossed out 30.000 but you are not telling about the 30% the company takes right off the top that makes it 21.000. and the 5% they take off the fuel surcharge. and the 30% off the detention pay. i understand that this is your bread and butter to get drivers hired on. i am not bitter i enjoyed working there for almost 2 years. then a few months ago things started changing like now all o/o are pushed to the back of the line so the company trucks can get the loads that the company would not send them to get before. leaving the o/o to pick up the scraps. i know you will have something to say i dont care i know the truth.
when you sit to get loads for a week at a time then get loaded and have to sit another 5 days. that should tell you something. i am not saying not to work there but i was not the only one i know another driver who was leased there the 1 st 2 weeks he did good then after that he was in the hole. i am just saying be more honest you need to tell it all. and if you want to know who i am just ask no need to search. never know if you found the right driver.

i work with for carroll fulmer. at first it was good up until july then things started changing. lets say that i have sat home waiting on a load up to 3 weeks. then get loaded and sit for 5 days.this had been going since july i tried to ride it out. i was told that customers was not shipping freight. but then i found out that 0/0 was put on the back burner so the company trucks could get loaded. i have had 4 loads dispatched to me and was taking away to give to a company truck. one while i was on the phone getting info on the load.then i got charged for a load in july that they said was late [300.00]. in fact i had to keep calling to get the customer to come in to take the load. then 2 weeks ago i was charged [110.00] for service call on their tlr. claimed my truck caused the trlr to have a air leak. this service call was in jan 08 now they decided to backcharge me for it.its true that the loads are paying cheaper. when i started i was doing good but now i can not wait it out any longer. and gregg i know you will get on here and have something to say about this but thats cool. dont blame you after all you are the recruiter and your job is to hire as many srivers as you can. dont get me wrong greeg is a good guy but when o/o has to go broke trying to stay loyal to the company then something is not right and no the do not care about drivers as they say drivers are a dime a dozen. maybe things will get better with the company i hope so but i have to take care of my family. before i never had a complaint they did work with you to help you but now its like you are on your on trying to get loads. things were good and i hate have to leave but i have no choice. i been riding this out for the past few months and it getting worse.

To ad to the rebuttal that I already post, I wanted to ad more facts and numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have already put a rebuttal in on this matter and feel like the point has been pretty well proven, but I feel so strongly about it I decided to add the actual numbers too it, to show the truth. This owner operator who made these outlandish and false claims, as you know did not want to leave his name(another sign of cowardess). So I researched and figured out who it was. He started here and hauled his first load 9/26/07 and left 11/14/07.. So he was contracted here only 7 weeks. In that seven weeks, here are his figures. He grossed $29,083.31, his deadhead was 10%, his loaded miles were 17,339, empty miles were 1970, total miles 19,309, and his avg. per mile empty and loaded was $1.506... Those are the numbers and they do not lie!!!!!!!! SO IN THE END HE GOT EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS TOLD BY COMPANY BEFORE HE STARTED!!! Yes he hauled two loads that did not pay well, but as everyone knows in trucking not every load will be great.. but look at the bottom line numbers... They are all that matter..
In just 7 weeks this guy grossed just about $30,000...Now you be the judge and jury, was the problem the company not giving him what he was told or did someone mismanage their end of the business and was looking for someone to blame? Looks like a pretty easy answer to me. I do not know about you but I have been in this business for over a decade now and I do not know many O/O's that would not love to have the numbers this guy had, and yet he still could not make it and slanders the company for it being their fault. Now his claims and accusations and ridiculous statements hold even less weight or should I say no weight at all...
What is most tragic about the whole situation is that, a person that has no idea how to own and run their own business and obviously has a few screws loose, can go on the internet and slander and make false accusations about a great family owned company that has been around for 54 years and is built on honesty, integrity and family... I dare anyone to find a company in this country that will treat you better then the Fulmer Family!

First of all let's take the person writing this with a grain of salt. He actually said he would rather belong to a illegal law breaking murdering mafia family. Come on that is ridiculous, that alone has to make you wonder what kind of person the statements are coming from and how much you can read into them. Now that being said I would like to start from the beginning. He started with putting "as the other writer wrote"...
The other writer would be the guy that even a biased person who does not even know the company said was crazy and off base and that the company was in the right. Even though all this should be enough to see the guy has not clue and it is unfortunate people like this can make untrue claims for all to see. He blames the company for driving him into the poor house. Sounds like to he needs to start to take some responsibility for what he does with HIS business. He is an Independent Contranctor, he is in control of his own business and obviously is not very good at it and decided he could blame the company, because of course none of it could be his fault.
He obviously was getting paid on %, because mentioned rates, well if that was so bad why did he not switch over to our mileage program??????? He even admits he was getting 2400 miles a week, yes that is not great, but with the economy the way it is, if avg. that every week on the mileage program you could do fine, plus we do not know if he turned down loads or made other bad business decisions, which stopped him from doing better then that. And all this other stuff, large truck payments, insurance, etc.. these are all business decisions of the independent contractor, which is the complaintent.
I think any smart person can tell this guy just wants to make stuff up and blame everyone else for his problems and not having a clue how to run a truck and be an independent contractor, especially when the economy is tough. He even attacked people he never even called for help. I can guarantee you, he never called Philip or Greg Frood!!! So at the end of day this is just a case of an incompetent Independent Contractor that neither knows how to run a truck or a business and was just looking for others to blame for his short commings. And P.S. the Fulmer family is the greatest family in the world to work for and would give you the shirt off their backs, and they do treat everyone like family!!!!!
