I had bought a 1995 Chrysler LeBaron convertible back on 3/1/06 from a car lot called Cars and Credit in Jonesboro, GA and had it financed with Auto Finance in Forest Park, GA. Since day one I have had nothing but trouble with the car. First off, I was told that it wouldnt leak, but right after I bought the car it rained and I found at least 4 inches of water in the front seat of the passengers side where the rug is.

At that point Auto Finance offered to replace the top when I contacted them. Also the lock on the passengers side was broken and never fixed. Even after the top was replaced it was still leaking.

Then right after that the air conditioner went and so did the brake pads and rotors. The car needed at least $1,000 worth of work. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and explained everything to them that was wrong with the car because it was very unsafe to drive it to work.

So Auto Finance contacted me because apparently the Better Business Bureau contacted them. They offered to fix my car but they only charged me $630.00 for the repairs. They only paid half of that and made me sign a Promissory note stating that I was to pay the other half.

I did pay $157.50 and was going to send the other half, but then the car was still leaking and also the hinges on the drivers side went. I had to literally climb in the car through the passengers side. And then the transmission went and I was no longer able to drive the car.

So I had it towed to the shop and I ended up putting another $750 into the car, buying the used transmission and having them put it into the car. During this time, I missed one payment because the transmission went out while I was driving the car. I needed transportation to get back and forth to work, so I had to put the money towards a used transmission.

There were other major repairs done to the car as well. I was going to bring the car back because even though I already put all of that money in for repair, something else was going wrong with the car. But Auto Finance came and got the car on 1/24/07.

I want to let you know that Cars and Credit sells vehicles that are in very poor condition. They do this to take advantage of people who have less than perfect credit. I wanted to better my credit by going with a car payment since I couldnt go to a regular dealership to buy a car.

I also know people who have bought cars from them who have had problems as well. My roommate also purchased a car from Cars and Credit and the engine went on the car so she had to bring it back. She also has a friend who purchased a car from there and put about $5000 worth of work into her car.

I have contacted Auto Finance regarding this and they were no help at all. All they wanted was their payment. They didnt want to work with me even though I told them I needed transportation to get back and forth to my job.

While my car was in the shop, my roommate and I were spending money taking cabs to and from work. So it wasnt that I just didnt want to make the payments on the car. I had always been on time with my monthly payments and even sent them early sometimes.

For all of the grief that I had went through I want to file a lawsuit against Cars & Credit for ripping people off and selling them junk cars. The car they sold me probably isn't even worth $1000 in the Kelley Blue Book and they charged me $7,189.50 and to this day I still owe over $5000 which I shouldn't have to pay.

To anyone who resides in the Atlanta area of Georgia who has bought a car from these con-artists, I am going to speak with an attorney to see if I can sue. I would like to get as many people in with me as I can. They have already got away with more than enough and now it's time to make them pay for what they have done.

You can't sue, this is another case of buyer's beware

You bought an 11 year old Chrysler product, for 7 times what it was worth, you never had it checked out by a mechanic, and you're complaining?

Nobody forced you to buy the car. You did this on your own, nobody owes you anything. The finance company is NOT responsible for your car woes, as you said, they just want their money.

Next time, have the car thoroughly checked out before you buy it. If the dealer won't let you take it to a mechanic, then there's something wrong with the car and walk away from it. Unfortunately, there's no help for you and no lawyer will be able to help you. Legally, nobody did anything wrong.
