HI,

I just wanted to let everyone know not to go to CarSharpies.com In Snellville, GA.

I purchased a 2004 ford explorer from them in May 2009. Within 3 weeks had transmission problems to which they said oh well. Than within 2 months had problems with my 4x4 and abs system!! They never offered to fix anything or try to offer. Which is what you get for going to a buy here pay here I guess. But what gets me is I have NEVER once at all missed a payment in the 5 months I have had this Suv and I wake today and it was repoed!!!! My payments are due every other Saturday. Some saturdays I work 12's and cant get up there so I would mail my payment out and they would receive it by Monday. In which on friday I always called and let them know this is what I would be doing. I guess In teh lovely state of Georgia even with calling if your car payment is 1 day let it can be repoed!!! Even though I called and got permission to mail it. Which the car dealer admitted I have never missed a payment and he said he did give me permission to mail it. But said I guess I am out of luck.. I would love to know how you can repo a person car who owes you no payments and its legal!!! It sounds like theft to me and the cop said they ripped me off (because I had all the paper work showing I paid every payment) but Georgia law says they can take it anytime!!! So needless to say im off to civil court not that it will go far here in this state. But beware I am a single mom with 3 kids who worked hard to pay for her car and they knew it. They prey on people!! Even the son of a employee (pops) said don't feel bad they do it all the time :) The cop also said tehy do it all teh time so do not give these men your hard earned money. I have given them over 4 grand and woulda had my car payed off in february!! Just an FYI and I will update with court procedings

I should have read lewis's above rebutal better. In it he says that when I phoned in I was already late and would be in saturday, how could that be when my payment was due friday and I called them saturday after getting stuck in traffic due to the construction on 78 between Loganville and Snellville. It WAS saturday October 24, 2009 when I called in, I have the phone record as proof. My payment was due friday October 23rd. In  which when I signed my contract they set it up to where my payments were due every other friday the fridays I worked 7am- 7pm and they closed at 6pm. Before I signed the contract I asked them about this and we made a verbal agreement that I could either bring it in the following day (saturday) or mail it in. I had been doing this since day 1 of purchase of the suv. My payments were always received between saturday-wednesday after due date. And like I said above I have Mr. Johnson on tape saying yes that was what we had set up and yes he ok'd it and yes we had always been doing it that way, the boss just decieded to repo it. Also to Mr. Lewis above statement that they called several times. I had a new cell ohone in which I had called 2 weeks earlier and given them the number to. It is also the phone they had called me back on that 2 weeks earlier after I lft a message for them to. It is also the number I called them on that saturday to say I would just go ahead and mail in my payment or have it up to them by that wednesday. They had my accurate number and never once called it. So "IF" they called, they did nto call my cell or my home phone. and why would they call several times when we talked on saturday and they knew I would be receiving it in the mail or I would have it to them by wedensday?? Doesn't make sense. and no they never received there payment on wedns=esday when I went to go up there to pay them i went out to my truck being gone and when I went to get my stuff out of my truck, my car payment had been stolen out of my purse in which I notified the police of at that time. So technically they got their car payment right out of my purse. I had never been "late" on my payments and never doubled up payments. Its a sad world where a state allows car dealers to steal something you won and pay for. Also lewis says reposseion is a costly process?? How they never filed any paper work, never notified me, and mr. lewis himself came to home and stole my vehicle. The only thing costing them is the attorney fee's. They didn't even reposses it correctly. I was not 1 payment behind never had been. I wouldn't be fighting this or putting thousands into an attorney if I was. This was a scam plain and simple.

Update: Rest Of Story

Here is an update. Sorry its been awhile. I have hired an attorney and am awaiting a court date. Since I posted this I had went back to carsharpies offered them $1400 to pay me thru january and to have my truck payed off by April 2010 or I would forfeit it and they could have it free and clear. Which they refused. Seems like a good offer to me considering I was not even a payment behind and I would have to come up with $7 grand by april.

What Mr. johnson failed to say in his rebutal is that I NEVER once missed a car payment and my payments were due every two weeks. I mailed my payments in which were due on fridays and I worked until after they closed. This is what I had been doing from day 1. Nothing new at all with their okay granted. I was Never continually "late" on my payments.

What Mr. Johnson does not know is my 2 trips up there after reposession I had a tape recorder on hand. I have Mr. Johnson on tape admitting that he had always ok'd me to mail in my payments, that I had never missed a payment and yes it seemed unfair. Also saying they repossed my Suv because they felt like it. I have a witness to this. My attorney has the tape.

I NEVER missed a payment, have ALL recipets to prove dates and that none were ever missed. I also have the phone records to where I called saturday to say I would bring the payment up by wednesday or mail it in but it would be recieved by than which again is the same as I had done since I purchased the truck. Never anything different. Never any later than 4 whole days. not 2 weeks, not a doubled payment. 4 days late. Carsharpies.com is also now being sued by another indiviual in a civil suit. Its public record at Gwinnett County Courts  GA Search  Zerblis search last name.

I am awaiting a court date and whether I win or not at least I put up a good fight. These guys rip off innocent people and prey on them. I could see if I was 2 or 3 payments behind, but I was not even 1 payment behind. Never had been. I also am now cooperating with the news channels in Atlanta to research my case. I hope the justice system does not let these crooks get away with this. and they should be more careful what they say next time. You never know who has a recorder on them. thank you

The Rest of the Story!!

The person in question above was continuously late on her payments. She was late when she phoned our office and said she would be paying on Saturday. She phoned back on Saturday and stated that traffic was so bad she would just put it in the mail. On Monday no payment. We attempted to contact her by phone with no response. On Tuesday no payment. We attempted to contact her by phone with no response. On Wednesday no payment. We attempted to contact her by phone with no response. Left with no further options the vehicle was legally repossessed. The police were called to our lot at which time the officer informed her we were within our legal rights and there was nothing she could do. She was in default on her contract. To this date no payment has been received in the mail. It appears that she has been untruthful more than once.

It is our goal to sell cars. Repossession is a costly procedure that we attempt to avoid at all costs. However, when a person fails to live up to the conditions of a contract we are left with no option but to protect our interests. This is not something we like to do. If she had been truthful and honest this situation would have never gotten to this point.
