Complaint Review: Cartmanager.net - Designcart.net - .com

As an online merchant, we were looking for a new shopping cart provider. All of the functions looked good and the price was right. We later found out that the company feels that they can advertise on any of the merchants packing slips and website, even though they are being paid for a service. This was the first clue that they did not respect their merchant customers.

As a joke, I said, with that customer service attitude, you probably think that all of our customer data belongs to you as well since it goes through your shopping cart. Low and behold, THEY DO! In their privacy policy #11 they state that they own all data from their merchants and their customers. And why is their shopping cart service so inexpensive? Well it seems that they have already been in trouble with the FTC and settled in 2005 for selling their merchants customer data without the merchants knowing.

They still sell the data but now with #11 listed in their privacy policy, they can now get away with it since legally, it is in their policy. The trouble is that most merchants don't read this policy and don't know that cartmanager.net is selling all of your information.

FIND OUT IF ANY OF YOUR ONLINE SHOPPING IS DONE WITH A COMPANY WHO USES CARTMANAGER.NET as their shoppng cart. If so, none of your information is private and will be sold to the highest bidder to email, mail, and call your home to market you products and services!
