I reveiced a voice message from someone who said his name was Jon Smith, his phone number was 817.400.0344.  He just stated that either me or my attorney needed to contact him as soon as possible.  If I didn't contact him, "good luck, and may God have mercy on my soul."  When I called the number back I got an answering machine that said it was for a Mr. Lucas.

The next day I received another voice message from someone stating his name was Michael.  His phone number was 916.287.3815.  He stated that either me or my attorney needed to contact him as soon as possible.  If I didn't contact him, "good luck with however the situation plays out."  When I called the number back, "Michael" answered and said that I had applied for some payday loans thru one of his subsidarey companies and that they had a report from the three major credit companies stating I had been fraudulent on other loans, and now they had a complaint filed under my social security number because I had taken out a payday loan and never paid on it.  I asked when this loan was to have taken place, "Michael" told me that he could not disclose this information to me as it was now a legal matter, unless I wanted to settle the issue with him at that time.  I asked how much did I need to pay, he said $750.  I asked who the loan was with and he listed about 15 different companies that he said he worked with.  When I told him I had no money available to pay he said, "Fine, a sheriff and a FBI agent will be at your place of work to arrest you first thing in the morning." and hung up.

I checked with the loans that I had taken out and made sure I had paid on all of them.  And I had.  So, I called back and tried asking "Michael" some more questions.  He verified that the loan in question was a payday loan.  When I told him I had not taken out a loan for the amount of $750 he said that the loan was only for $300.  The $750 was the amount for the attorney, filing the suit and all of that.  I tried explaining to him that I had never taken out a loan of $300 but he just asked me if I intended to do something about this issue over the phone with him right now, his time wasn't free and I wasn't cooperating.  Again I stated I had no money to pay this loan.  He said, "Fine" and hung up.

Two hours later, I got a phone call from the same phone number (916.287.3815) from another person who just asked if they were speaking to me.  When I said they were speaking to me, they hung up.

So, I guess we will see in the morning if a sheriff and FBI agent are waiting on me at work when I get here in the morning.

No one is showing up tomorrow, it is a scam.
Even if you did owe them money the FBI and the Police are not coming to your house over a payday loan.
