Cash Advance "legal department" Threatening to file criminal charges and arrest for a payday loan I did not receive Internet
Today, I received a voicemail for a Justin Baker or Parker stating I owed money for a payday loan and legal action will be taken against me. It was hard to understand the message because of his heavy accent. He left the number 916-214-5985 so I called back and got verizon wireless message saying number may have been changed, disconnected or no longer in service.
Totally confused. I called the number 916-243-5985 two times before reaching the Cash Advance legal department. This guy was a fast talker and immediately laid into me referencing criminal charges filed, frauding them, and refusing to pay the loan. I never received a loan from them.
To make matters worse, he threaten me with the sheriff coming to my job within an hour to arrest me and to serve me papers. I asked for the company suing me and he repeated his title while naming several online payday loan companies. Repeatedly, I'm telling him I did not receive any loans and nothing was deposited into my account.
It got heated and I had to remember I was at work. He tried bullying me and that's not going to happen. After hanging up, I called my bank to fill them in on what's going on.
I will be going in tomorrow to my bank to follow up on this terrible situation. Then, a call to the local sheriff department.
