This is one of those companies offering to buy your used laptop computer for cash... you describe the condition and they give you waht sounds like a fair quote of what you will get. then when you send the computer in they respond with a list of things wrong with it even if it is in pristine condition! they then us this bogus list of defects to justify their lowballing you and offering you pennies on the dollar for what your computer is really worth!

They quoted me 160.00 and the tried to low ball 40 bucsk for an Apple g4 computer that worked fine  but had some scratches... If you challenge them they will offer a few dollars more. I explained to them that the internal parts alone were worth way more than they offered and told them to send my computer back then they finally offered a price closer to the original quote( about 40 bucks less!) I accepted because of the hassel but you probably be better off selling your computer as is on (((competitors' names redacted)))!

sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome. Hi! I wish I had read your post before "making business" with CashInYourLaptop myself!

The same thing happened to me. I was quoted $80 for an older Gateway computer that had been very well taken care of, and then they mentioned broken plastics (there were none) and "severely" damaged keys (only one key had faded a bit), etc. and reduced their offer to $ 13 dollars, which I was stupid enough to accept.

I never got a check. I am in contact with them now, but doubt this will have fair resolution.

Also, I personally would have appreciated the name of a competitor I can trust to send any future electronics in... Thank you.
