In February 2005, I applied online for a $200 payday loan. They called and verified my employment. However, never took the money out of my account. I did not have a contact number for their company and assumed they would contact me fairly soon.

In August 2005, they contacted me and told me I owed them $859.00 for non payment of my loan. I told them that it was to be automatically withdrawn and that never happend. I asked them why they waited 6 months to contact me. They had to excuse.

I set up a $150.00 payment plan, to reimburse for the money, which I think is total crazy. They claimed they could not take the money out of my account. My bank contacted me because they they someone was trying to commit fraud on me and had stolen my check card. I had to change my check card.

It is not October 27, 2005 and they have called me on my job harrassing me. As well as call my supervisor, who clearly wants nothing to do with this situation. Nor, do I feel my supervisor should be involved in this situation. They have been very rude and nasty on the phone and called 10 times in a 10 minute period to my job.

I have asked them a number of times to not call me at my place of employment. They have threatened me and insist that they will continue call my job.

payday loans are not like regular loans and the companys can not go after you for default...the only possible thing is that they can go after you if a check was used as collateral for the "loan" and was not paid (bad check)...otherwise they do not have a way to collect the money (better check locally, this is how it is in Texas)...as far as the calls at work, if you have asked for the calls to stop and they continue, you need to file a report for harrasment with the police and with the FCC (not sure if that is the proper group)...once you ask not to be called at your place of employment, businesses have to honor that (only applies to work, not home)
