Cash4Gold Sent a BAD check! Pompano Beach Florida

I am posting this for my mother. My father is legally blind, so therefor he cannot drive. My mother has not worked, because with my father working, she has to be there to bring him to and from work. She also babysits for me, so my mother has no income.

When she saw the CASH4GOLD advertisement on TV, she sent all of her precious and sentimental jewelry to them, in hopes of getting cash, as stated in the ad. She is doing this so that she can afford to take her family on a vacation this spring.

A couple of weeks after my mother sent in several pieces of jewerly, she received a check from the company - A whole $6 check! Ridiculous!

She has no bank accounts, because she does not work. My father DOES have a bank account, but when he looked over the check, he noticed something about it.

It was very plain and basic, no routing/account numbers on the bottom, no barcode, etc.

The teller looked it over, and my father figured he'd still cash it just because. If it went through, my mother could at least have the $6.

Over the next 48 hours, my father checked his bank account. He realized that there was $6 missing. It was the check! It was a fraud check! My father paid back the bank, and now his account is in good standing, as before.

Just be careful with this company! I am so thankful that they didnt send a check for more, because only God would know what would happen if we tried to cash a check for a larger amount!
