Cash For Iphones (AKA Cash For Laptops or LDR INC) will quote you a real fair price online. I sold an Iphone 4s and was quoted $180 online. Finanlly, 3 weeks later after they received it, I receive a call that they are ready to pay me. The lady was very friendly and chit-chatted with me for quite some time. Then she said she would be mailing my check for $80 tomorrow. I said, "Excuse me? $80? How about $180?"
I was told that the market changed on the phone since it was sent it and that was all it was worth now. She then spoke to her supervisor and was able to pay me $110. I said no way and insisted she send my phone back.
I quickly got online to see what the website quoted, since the market had "changed so much". What do you, know, $170 was the current price! I called back and spoke to a manager and explained what was going on. I also had seen online that several other people had this same issue. Brian, the manager, gave me the whole run around about the market, and the condition of my phone (like he even had it in front of him).
Finally, I became assertive and said I want at least $150. He agreed and the money was paid the next day. BE SURE YOU GET A COPY OF EVERYTHING VIA EMAIL before hanging up the phone! Or recored the phone call because they will SCAM YOU! DONT do business with Cash For Iphones or any of their sister companies!
