CastingYou offer a one month free membership to lure unsuspecting individuals into giving you their credit card information and then claim a right to make charges because of stipulations hidden in the fine print. ripoff Canyon Country California
I have a page on myspace. Out of the blue, CastingYou.Com requested to be added to my friend list. After I agreed, CastingYou.Com started sending me with blog entries advertising employment opportunities in the entertainment industry.
I ignored these for the most part because acting is not my line of work. April of 2007, CastingYou.Com began sending me messages about their offer of a "free month trial membership". I wanted to take a look around their site and since there was no way for me to do this without registering I did so.
I am not going to argue with CastingYou about the deceptive nature of their registration page. I believe CastingYou is well aware of the deceptive nature of their registration page. I believe it is a part of their business plan to offer a one month free membership to lure unsuspecting individuals into giving CastingYou.Com credit card and other personal identifying information and then claim a right to make charges because of stipulations hidden in the fine print.
If individuals refuse to pay then CastingYou.Com resorts to extortion: CastingYou threatens to destroy a clients credit history unless they pay up. I am not going to allow CastingYou to punish me for not reading fine print on a deceptive registration page for what was offered to me as a one month free trial.
I am lodging a complaint against CastingYou with RipOffReport.com so that other people can read all about their deceptive business practices.
