When my husband and I bought our home we wanted a water filtration system installed. We went through one company to get the system, and was financed through Castle Credit Corporation.

Our bill was only 98.00 a month, which isn't bad at all. My husband and I both decided that we would slip the payments in half and each pay 100.00 a piece and maybe pay it off faster. So that's what we started.

I hit a hard spot when I lost my job, and I ended up bouncing the check I wrote to the company. My husband said we should be fine because the payment for the month is still covered by his payment. Any fees we would recieve for NFS (non-suffient funds) would be understandable, and not to worry about anything.

Our bill came the next month and it was high. As we were looking at the explanation it stated that the 200.00 payment didn't go through and that we were late for the month. My husband called and told the representative the whole story and was argued with for what seemed like forever.

Furious, my husband gathered all the documents and faxed them to the company with exlanations on every page. We recieved a call later that day saying they would fix the issue because we didn't have a late paymant.

Again, the next month we recieved a late payment fee for a payment that was not late. Every time we call we get a rude customer service repesentative and it isn't pleasant at all.

How can they not understand that there were 2 checks written for 100.00 and that our payment due was 98.00?

With this, we started to research Castle Credit, and we have found numerous inquiries from other people with similar complaints.

Please do not use this company at all.

I agree with your report and another one I read. I have the same issue. I've been paying since 2006. My account has went through 4 different people. They tell me each time the other person wasn't recording payments or doing their job.

I had to request a payment history and my contract again, today. This isn't a revolving account. I was told the loan amount and that it was going to be financed at a low payment. They set the payment and then I found out that the payment wasn't even covering the finance charges or minuimum payment. I had to bump it up $60 more dollars. It hasn't went down much. The lady told me today that I have a APR that varies. I really think this company along with the Rainsoft company should be looked at. I paid more than what I should have paid so far.
