I purchased a 2005 mazda rx 8 from castle rock auto on jan 22, 2014 for 7995.00 which was supposed to include a 3000 mile 3 month drive train warranty. upon leaving the car lot and stopping to get gas I began having issues starting the car .  thinking due to the rotary engine I must be doing something wrong I decided to take it for routine maintenance getting the oil changed and all the fluids checked. while doing this I had starter issues once again and also found that they suspected something was also wrong with the battery so I decided to stop at my regular mechanic to check things over.  after listening to the car he suspected something wrong with the engine compression and said that because of the rotary engine I should take it to the mazda dealer .  I talked to the service department and made an appointment for diagnostics for jan 28 2014 ,  I than attempted to contact the owner norman "rocky" gardner from castle rock auto and he did not answer my calls or return my messages.  the results of the diagnostics ran by the mazda service department on jan 28th 2014 found that the mazda rx8 needed a new starter , a new battery, a new 02 sensor and bad engine compression wich requires a whole new engine .  the total for all repairs including labor is 6700.00 .  i had the mazda service center contact the warranty company that had came with the purchase of my car and they had no file of me having a warranty . i than attempted to reach norman gardner again and finally got him to answer he told me he just received my messages and was trying to contact the warranty rep and he would call back in a few hours.  he never called back and when i finally got a hold of him a few days later and  he once again told me he was waiting for a return call from the warranty company and would call me back.  once again he never called back i left one final message on sat feb 1st giving him till Monday feb 3rd to contact me and i have yet to receive a call back.

i spoke with the warranty company mon feb 3rd and they informed me that no paperwork for a warranty had been filed with them on behalf of castle rock auto for my car .  i had them contact the service department at mazda for them to fax over my warranty contract.  it is now feb 9th 2014 and i have gotten no where with the warranty company they claim to also be waiting for people to return phone calls
