These con artists started as SAI Inc. I called in February about system not working and they said a local repair service would call. Never happened. Received paperwork in about April stating 'Casterock Security' had bought out SAI and would now be our monitoring system. Called again then, strangely enough both phone # and address of company was unchanged as was the 45 minutes to an hour on hold before I could speak to someone. Person I spoke to gave me the same 'local repair' will call spiel only now they wanted to charge me $110 to fix a system less than 18 months old without even knowing what was wrong with it. I said forget it. Cancel our contract on 7/6/09, the day our original 2 year agreement expired and we would take our business elsewhere. About three weeks later a young lady who ID'd herself as Castlerock called to see if we were happy with our service. I told her we were most certainly NOT and that we still wanted the contract canceled as of 7/6/09. On 7/15/09 we were again charged monitoring fees. When I wasted an hour of my life on hold to remind them the contract was CANCELED, they informed me that it had an automatic renewal clause that controlled because I hadn't canceled in writing. At no time during my calls with their customer disservice reps did they ever mention that I had to cancel in writing even though I was emphatic about being done with their non-service. I have filed a complaint with the state AG's office. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES.

Did you forget to mention in your complaint....

1) There is no such thing as a 2 year agreement, they all start as initial 36 month agreements. Whoever told you it was a 2 yr contract LIED and you probably didn't bother to read the fine print.

2) You probably didn't get technician dispatched to your home because you had a past due balance. Service requests are placed on hold if you are past due. Surely you forgot to mention this in your complaint.

3) It sounds like the issue is non-warranty if you were quoted a fee for service. There must be something you did to cause physical damage to the equipment. When the technicians over the phone troubleshoot with you there are many ways in which they can test the system and determine if it is a mechanical malfunction or not. Again, you must have forgotten to mention this detail in your complaint.

4) If you had read your contract and become familiar with the terms of the agreement you entered in when you signed your name on that legal document you would know what the auto-renewal and cancellation policy is. Unless you can't read perhaps...
