Complaint Review: Cat Lane The Possible Canine

Cat Lane, The Possible Canine Introduction to Animal Herbalism Course is a rip-off Internet

The Introduction to Animal Herbalism Course was launched in Feb/March of 2014 and was supposed to contain 12 Units of study, containing very detailed curriculum based on Cat Lane's supposed decades of extensive experience and study. By June, 2014, Cat had only Units 1-4 available on the student/customer secret yahoo group. Unit 5 wasn't available until Feb 2015, ONE WHOLE YEAR after the course was launched. Nothing new has been added since then (it's now June 2015), but Cat Lane has just recently launched another course instead of finishing this one!

Much of the material that is actually there, exists as links to other people's articles, blogs and websites. For example, the unit on animal nutrition basically shares that there are a lot of different views on nutrition, that veterinarians often don't know anything about animal nutrition, that if you want to know more you can consult with her, and then provides a bunch of links to other people's articles as well as links to her own website. So, rather than actually deliver a unit of study, we are supposed to pay her to learn more or learn somewhere else?

The Materia Medica section, which is supposed to go into detail about plants and their uses, has entries like "more than pesto!" for basil, and "so much healing in one little plant" for dandelion. Unbelievable.

This course is a total scam! If you want to study herbalism for animals....stay away from this dud!

Some factual information regaridng my course

I am surprised and dismayed at the vitriol expressed by the individual who reprted my course. While some of what he states is true -  the dates when material was entered is accurate - much of what he is stating is overblown. A very strong reaction given he only purchased an audit of my mterial and I have agreed to return his money in full.
First- the unit on nutrition is fairly cursory and does indeed contain links to recommended resources. This is an Introudctory course on herbalism, and a full overview of NUTRITION is simply not possible. I provided links to onlione resources I have come to know and trust, so my students could do their own research. My blog of course was included. Nothing wrong with that.
What I do se as valid is, there is material yet to be entered. My students have been in close contact with me and understood that various issues interfered with my ability to keep the pace up, including illness, partner's illness and a demanding consulting schedule.I full intend to enter the rest of the study material - I feel that I've had excellent resposne from students with reagrd to the material istelf, the Units that are entered - and much patience in waiting for me to get the rest done. This is going to happen over the summer. I fully understand that the complainant here wanted all the units ready right away, and was dissatisfied, so I agreed to refund his fee. his is a very high quality course and I'm most happy to provide multiple testimonials as to that, but unfrotunately it is not completed. My sense of it with this student was that by the time he reached Unit 5 - about 5 months of work - the remainder of the programme would be ready, as it is a priority for me to get completed. If he didn't wish to wait, he only needed to contact me as I stated above. This level of attack seems very personal and certainly, unwarranted. I'll provide referecnes later this week - plenty of them - as to the caliber of my work.

All the material oustide of the nutrtion unit is orginal, too.
