On September 2, 2008 I purchased a Rainbow Cleaning System, Serial #1392928 from Ed Rieger of Catamount Enterprises LLC, 34 S. Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070.

Unfortunately, I found that the Rainbow does not function as demonstrated and advertised, and the Rainbow Dollars Program was not honored. The Rainbow is not a complete cleaning system as claimed. It does not include the major attachments that would make it complete and does it purify the air.

The Rainbow was presented as a multipurpose canister type vacuum cleaner that uses water filtration scented with any one of the Rainbow four fragrances ( lemon, orange, mulberry, and eucalyptus) to create a dust free environment. The company claimed the water filtration system purifies the air and is great for allergies. They also claimed if the Rainbow is placed in a room on low setting, it would purify the air in that room. This is not true.

Water Filtration: This Machine does not create a dust free environment and does not purify the air. The intake and exhaust are both above the water line, and the air is not filtered through the water. This results in all the dirt not being trapped by the water and dirt is put back into the air. In addition, the reservoir holds a small amount of water, which gets dirty very fast. Dirt is also put back into the air through moisture in the exhaust.

Rainbow Referral Program: Major attachments to shampoo, deodorize carpets, upholstery, clean ceramic and vinyl floors and all fragrances must be purchased at an additional cost. The dealer explained how I could use the Rainbow Dollar Program to obtain these attachments. He asked for ten referrals; I provided the ten referrals two of which I scheduled appointments for the dealer. The company gives more Rainbow dollars for scheduled appointments. The dealer failed to keep the two scheduled appointments, and failed to follow up on the remaining eight referrals. I never received any Rainbow Dollars toward the purchase of major attachments. I tried to contact Mr. Rieger to request the attachments; he failed to respond to my calls.

I make porcelain dolls and need a dust free environment for china painting. I expected a high level of quality and efficiency from this expensive piece of equipment and was willing to pay for it. The Rainbow did not perform as advertised and my calls and inquiries where disregarded. After August 27, 2009, Mr. Reigers voice mailbox was full and I was not able to leave messages. I demand a full refund for this system, as it does not create a dust free environment and purify the air as advertised.
