Catherine Howard of 40 Arnold Street, 110 Dawes Road(rental property 2 units) and 527 Jones Avenue (rental property - 2 units) contracted for me to do repairs, painting, plumbing and electrical updates and repairs to vacant apartment at 527 Jones Avenue in Toronto. I worked for her 6 days, 37 total hours from December 18 to December 30 2013. The agreed rate was $30 per hour for my labour. On the last day, she tried to start an arguement and threatened to hire other contractors to finish the small amount of work to be completed that day. She ended up running away that day and has avoided me altogether since then. She will not return my calls, emails and has not responded to my invoices and attempts to collect the $1100 owed to me. I will taking all steps available to collect from her.
I recommend to all contractors, tenants and businesses to avoid this deceitful woman.
She owns 3 Toronto properties but is mortgaged to the hilt. She is obsessive, strange and a cheat. She hired me with the intention to never pay me. She had paid me cash of about $300 for about 3 previous small jobs in the past with her so I was dismayed that she did this. She is a terrible landlord - she is nosy, pushy, doesn't seem to allow her tenants reasonable enjoyment of their tenancy. Catherine Howard was very critical toward a tenant who smoked outside of her apartment.

I wish to clarify some of the statements I made in my posting on this site dated December 1, 2014 concerning James Duncan. My comments were not intended to suggest that James Duncan has harassed, physically assaulted or harmed any person other than me. By comparing James Duncan's bullying, cyber bullying and cyber libel to that of Jian Ghomeshi, I did not mean to equate their behaviour, or to imply that James Duncan is a serial sexual harasser or serial assaulter or that he has committed any criminal acts against other women. My posting reflects only my personal experience with Mr. Duncan and his conduct towards to me.

James Duncan, #(((Redacted))), Ontario, Canada (((Redacted))) – (((Redacted))) / (((Redacted))) – James Duncan & Co) is the troll, the cyber bully hiding behind an alias on this defamatory posting. His “using all available means” to obtain money: this married man has threatened her harm (voicemail), has filmed her, obsessively stalked her from place to place, slandered her to neighbours and tenants, charged at her repeatedly screaming her name whenever he saw her exit her house, blocked her access into her house and assaulted her while she lay on the ground crying in terror and pain. He continued to trespass on her property despite her complaining to the Toronto Police.
James Duncan delivers the Toronto Star newspaper for a living; a newspaper that decries violence against women. He avoids small claims court. Instead, he violates the woman’s right to privacy by posting her name and personal information, criticises her landlord-tenant relationships which he is not part of, criticises her financial status regarding properties that she has earned by means of legitimate taxed income, warns off employers, tenants and honest tradesmen. His posting causes as much harm to his victim as he can while hiding his identity. He exhibits the very behaviours that he brands her with. James Duncan’s bullying, cyberbullying and cyber libel resembles that of that of Jian Ghomeshi: Give me what I demand or you will be hurt – physically and reputation-wise – now forever on this website.
Instead of being a passive victim, the woman he defames outs her “neighbour” James Alexander Duncan by name and in a lawsuit against him for defamation (Superior Court of Ontario CV-14-507793).
