Cavalry Investments Ripoff Added collection to my credit file Never contacted me Hawthorne New York
I subscribe to Equifax Credit Alert so that I am notified if anyone makes any changes to my credit report. I just got over a fight with Sprint (I won) and so have been watching. Along comes this outfit and posts what I believe might be the same bill. They do not have any telephone listed in New York and so I have no way to contact them by phone. They have NEVER contacted me and so I have no knowledge of what this really is. In the meantime, my perfect credit file is being destroyed by these people.
I have no idea on how to get these people to respond. There must be a law that requires them to at least make some sort of demand on me before they turn me in to the credit bureau.

I had to fight with these people for over two years over a Sprint account that did not belong to me. Disputing with the credit bureaus did absolutely no good. I finally got someone on the phone and was referred to the "identity theft department". I am not a victim of ID theft..it was not my account, period.I had Airtouch at the time I supposedly had this account with Sprint. I was told that I "must have filed a police report" and had to send other documents in order to have any possibility of getting this removed. It took a letter from my attorney, gently reminding them that it was THEIR duty to prove the debt belonged to me, not my duty to prove it didn't, to finally get this removed from my credit report.
