In 2002, and again in 2005, I reviewed my credit report to find what was preventing me from securing a loan for a new home. I came across a collection from Cavalry Portfolio recovery services in conjunction with AT&T Wireless, now Cingulair Wireless.

They Claimed and continue to claim I owe AT&T Wireless $163.00. They also previously claimed I owded an amount of around $1063.00 for the same service, as well as an amount of $613.00, which I never did owe.

The latter two amounts have subsequently been removed from my credit after I filed a dispute with the credit bureau and they investigated it, however, the amount of $163.00 still sits on my credit showing as a good debt, though I have disputed it as well. These are all false debts, ones that I never did owe.

I contacted Cavalry, AT&T and Cingulair to get this resolved, but each refers me back to the other, saying the other has all the information when in fact, it appears none of them have any such debt.

Back as far as 1999, AT&T Wireless began a service which they called Bundle Billing. This was where they bundled all services you had with their company, ie: long distance, wireless and internet services into one bill for ones convenience. (that seems laughable now)

I agreed to participate in this new service, and this has been the result. Though I have always paid my wireless bill and don't currently owe any other wireless bill, these fraudulent bills still haunt me.
