Complaint Review: CBS Sports

This a very typical Credit Card SCAM that I was unfortunatley duped by.  They provide a live feed to a sporting event that you want to watch ONE TIME.  You pay the fee via credit card and if you don't CANCEL the "subscription" you KEEP PAYING the fee every month, over and over and over. This is done all the time by unscrupuolous companies and admittedly as a consumer you should "read the fine print" but I didn't but it doesn't make it right.  They are ripping off their "customers" and when I asked for a refund this is the response I got:

College Sports Fan,

Our apologies, but in regards to the monthly subscription you signed up for, the terms listed during the time of purchase are as follows. "Monthly Subscriptions: Provides unlimited access to audio/video for one month from the date of purchase. For your convenience, all monthly subscriptions automatically renew each month until cancelled, regardless of usage." 

Refunds are not provided after 5 days of the purchase/renewal date. We have absolutely no record of any prior attempt from you to cancel this subscription and as such cannot issue a refund for any charges outside of the accepted terms. 

So, regardless of usage or intent, this was an automatically renewing monthly subscription that you did sign up for and did agree to the terms during purchase.  You may contact your credit card company and they may be willing to provide reimbursement.
