CCA First National Merchant ripoff Las Vegas Nevada
First, I would like to thank Ripoff.com and all the people who responded with reference to the above company.
I just received a letter advising me that I was approved for $6500 with Cash Advance priviledges. I called the 800 number provided to ask some questions. I thought this would be a fantastic opportunity to help my credit and buy some needed furniture since I just moved into an apartment from living in an extended stay hotel.
The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and asked some questions. I answered these, but were only confirmations of what was already on the letter.
She then inquired about my checking account. When I told her I did not have one she referred me to another number (702-392-7555). As I do not have long distance service on my phone I could not call.
I decided to try and find a web site that you could order from. Glad I did - I could not believe it - I read through 25 pages (and am still not through them all) of people who got ripped off by this company.
I have since ripped up the letter and cut the card in half.
I am AMAZED that nothing has been done legally (either individually or by our government agencies) to stop this harassment of people like myself trying to re-established credit.
Certainly there has to be laws to stop this kind of insanity.
