It was actually a news story on Yahoo, and I investigated it on the internet and on Snopes.com. It all has to do with currency conversions that were done improperly or were not done at all...

I got the same notice about this. I don't travel abroad so I have no claim myself.
If they wanted to harvest CC numbers, I would think that they could come up with a better excuse in order to get more.
