After reading several other posts on this site I probably don't need to post mine, but I will so that other unsuspecting consumers know that issues are still going on.

I should have researched this company before ordering but was unaware of the resources on the net. I came across CCI by googling the product and then using the shopping site www.shopping.com link. CCI had a 5 star rating with many, many rave reviews and only one negative of a brief claim of bait and switch. I was not aware of ripoffreport.com or any other sites like this before but now I have investigated Camera City and see that they have multiple complaints against them regarding bait and switch and other inappropriate business practices. There may be a pending investigation by the NY Atty Gen'l as well I read somewhere.

To summarize the multiple lies and deception that transpired here.

1. I was assured that I was ordering USA version with USA manufacturer's warranty when they were going to send me an imported model. I discovered this before it shipped, praise the Lord, so I cancelled the order.
2. I was told there was a Pro model available for more money when there is no pro model
3. I was charged more for shipping and insurance than I was informed at the time of order as well as for a product that was not shipped. CCI later agreed to credit this charge back to my card promised but then threatened to charge it back when I asked to return the CF card
4. I was offered model extended life batteries for the camera for several hundred dollars. The camera I was ordering doesn't even take the batteries he was trying to sell me as it turns out
5. I was told I was purchasing a $599 2gb 180X speed Pro CF card for $399 since I was ordering a Canon camera body when I was getting a 100x card that sells from various retailers for as low as $35.99 and there is no rebate from Canon.
6. I was told the price I paid for the USA lens was contingent upon my purchase of the CF card after I requested to return the CF card which was never discussed at the time of ordering
7. I was told that since they tried to remedy the problem (by charging me more $$ for the item I am willing to keep !?!?!?!), I would lose my dispute and that they recorded the order and the return conversations as proof. I hope they did because that will only help my cause I'm sure as it will validate my statements.

As it turns out, I have read that they use these same tactics over and over again. I can only imagine those ingnorant to their schemes that are getting import merchandise or worse and are totally unaware.
